Structure
COURSE DURATION: One (1) year
The Postgraduate Diploma in Education programme consists of coursework, examination, teaching practice and a Research Project. These shall be covered in a minimum of two (2) semesters of fifteen (15) weeks each and a maximum of four (4) semesters. The maximum duration may only be extended with prior approval by Senate.
The students will take seventeen (17) compulsory course units, two (2) electives, Teaching Practice and a Research Project.
The Research Projectis done in the final semester and the topic for the Research Projectis identified by the candidate in consultation with their supervisors, subject to the approval of the department.
Admission Requirements
Applications are done online using the University application portal https://application.uonbi.ac.ke/Applicants should ensure they meet the admission requirements before applying.
Holders of non KCSE Certificate (with the exception of IGCSE and GCE and Uganda ‘O” and “A” levels) are required to provide equation for their certificates which is done by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
Holders of foreign diploma/degree certificates are required to provide equation for their certificates which is done by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
